Johnson Lake Resort
First opened in 1952, Johnson Lake Resort is nestled in a tiny hidden valley on secluded Little Johnson Lake. Open June 1 through October, the resort offers awesome beauty, peace and solitude for the relaxing vacationer. There is lots to keep the whole family content and happy – including your pet.
The resort offers 6 housekeeping cabins and 8 privately situated campsites, all with access to the central shower house. Relax and take each day at your own pace. Sleep in late, or enjoy an early morning sunrise over the Big Lake. Soak up the sun while lazing the day away, or hike, bike or canoe your way around the Big Lake. The choices are yours.
There is a boat launch and dock for registered guests only, and boats for rent on the Big Lake – a short 2-minute walk from the main resort. Complimentary rowboats and pedal boats for our registered guests, dock and a swimming raft await you on the Little Lake. There are no day-use areas at the resort.
With self-generated hydropower from a nearby creek, the Pelton Wheel that was installed in 1956 still supplies power to the lodge, and lights only, to the shower house and one cabin. Telecommunication with the outside world is via a satellite phone system available at a nominal charge.
As the resort is off the grid, there isn’t any cell service in the area, no internet access, and no TV, so you can leave your electronics at home to truly relax and get away from it all!
