Nakiska Ranch
Nakiska Ranch in the Wells Gray Park has been a ranch for many generations. The owners bought the ranch in 2011 and continued the tradition of offering guests a friendly and relaxed place to spend a holiday in the Wells Gray Park.
The owners are passionate about the long ranching history of the Nakiska Ranch and have since brought back the ranching aspect. So when you visit, you will not only be in the heart of the Wells Gray Park with all it has to offer of natural wonders, but you will be able to have a firsthand experience of staying at a working ranch, where they raise Red Angus beef cattle.
The ranch is home to 3 types of accommodation:
Main House rooms – There are 4 rooms in the main lodge. The rooms have queen beds, private bathrooms with a shower, and a bar fridge and coffee maker. Two of the rooms face the front garden (room 6 and 3), while rooms 4 and 10 face the backyard.
The Wilderness House – An ideal accommodation for guests who are looking for luxury in a fabulous nature setting. The house is located a few minutes drive from the Main Lodge house of the Nakiska Ranch.
Cabins – There are 7 cabins which are all the original homestead ranch buildings. The cabins are unique in layout. Cabins 1 & 2 & 11 have king beds, cabins 8 & 9 have each a queen bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. Cabins 7 & 12 have twin beds.
